Embrace Failure

I’ve mentioned before that I have a ski coach (Why Have A Coach). I love skiing the bumps, and as I get older, technique is more important than the ability to heal quickly.  My last lesson I was having a rough time, the falls were plentiful, and my frustration level was heading towards maximum. As I was getting up for the Nth time, my coach skied down to me and said,

Don’t worry about the falls.

It means you are skiing at the edge of your ability.

That’s where the improvement lies.”

What is true on the mountain is also true in school, whether we are teaching or leading.

Think. Work. Achieve.
