As is the case for way too many of us, cancer has taken its toll on my family.  My Grandmother, my Father-in-Law, and my mother all lost their battle.  Which is why LYS sponsors the March For A Cure PowerWalks Challenge, so others may win their battle.

LYS Nation, join me in some cancer ass kicking.

Starting tomorrow, for every PowerWalks classroom observation conducted during March, we will donate 5¢ to the American Cancer Society.

For every elementary school that conducts at least 250 observations, middle school that conducts at least 300 observations, alternative school that conducts at least 100 observations, and high school that conducts at least 350 observations we donate another $10.00.

Last year, thanks to the hard work of the LYS Nation, we donated $1,113.25. This year let’s double that total.
